kickshaw \ KIK-shaw \ , noun; 
  1. a tidbit or delicacy, especially one served as an appetizer or hors d'oeuvre. 
  2. something showy but without value; trinket; trifle. 
Origin: Kickshaw comes from an English pronunciation of quelque chose meaning "something" or "a little something." It entered English in the late 1500s. 

Slow Burn
  • An insult that doesn't sink in for awhile.
When Jasmine figured out that slow burn comment from the girl at the bar, she was so pissed. He's an idiot, you can say any sort of shit to his face and it'll be a slow burn. He wont figure it out for days.
