Review Tuesday: THE VISIT [2015}

The Visit
Children go to visit grandparents they have never met before. Strange things begin to happen.
M. Night Shyamalan is known for giving us movies that mess with your brain. This is another one.

After years without communication, a woman begins communicating with her parents. They suggest that she sends her children over for a vacation so they can finally get acquainted. However, as soon as the children arrive with their grandparents all manner of strange things start happening. As the days go by, matters grow even more concerning.

As a viewer of this movie which was filmed from the perspective of the children, you, too, have a feeling that something is amiss. However Shyamalan brilliantly directs this movie in a way that you never really know what's going on until he chooses to let the cat out of the bag.

I usually don't care for movies with children starring in it, but this was pretty good. In fact the entire cast did an impressive job.

It's odd and creepy and worth your time to watch if you want get freaked out and cringe.
