Mixing the Renault 'Clio' and the Ford 'Taurus' they have designed the 'Clitaurus'. It comes in pink, and the average male car thief won't be able to find it - let alone turn it on - even if someone tells him where it is and how to do it.

Rumor has it though, that it leaks transmission fluid once a month, and can be a real bitch to start in the morning! Some have reported that on cold winter mornings, when you really need it, you can't get it to turn over.

New models are initially fun to own, but very costly to maintain, and horribly expensive to get rid of. Used models may initially appear to have curb appeal and a low price, but eventually have an increased appetite for fuel, and the curb weight typically increases with age. Manufacturers are baffled as to how the size of the trunk increases, but say that the paint may just make it LOOK bigger.

This model is not expected to reach collector status. Most owners find it is best to lease one, and replace it each year.

The loggerhead sea turtle is an oceanic turtle distributed throughout the world. An adult weighs around 135 kilograms (300 lb), with the largest specimens weighing in at more than 454 kilograms (1,000 lb). The skin ranges from yellow to brown in color, and the shell is typically reddish-brown. Found in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans as well as the Mediterranean Sea, the loggerhead sea turtle spends most of its life in saltwater and estuarine habitats, with females briefly coming ashore to lay eggs. The loggerhead sea turtle has a low reproductive rate and a lifespan of 47–67 years. Omnivorous, the species feeds mainly on bottom dwelling invertebrates. Its large and powerful jaws serve as an effective tool in dismantling its prey. Loggerheads are considered an endangered species and are protected by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Turtle excluder devices (TEDs) have been implemented in efforts to reduce mortality by providing the turtle an escape route. Loss of suitable nesting beaches and the introduction of exotic predators has also taken a toll on loggerhead populations. Efforts to restore their numbers will require international cooperation since the turtles roam vast areas of ocean and critical nesting beaches are scattered among several countries. (more...)

You may or may not have known, but I'm a huge fan of Kate Beckinsale, especially her role as Selene from the Underworld movies. After her absence from the third movie in the series, she's back with a vengeance, literally.

UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING is the fourth installment in the franchise. The movie starts out discussing the purge. The immortal races of vampires and lycans have been discovered by mankind and is being systematically destroyed as a menace to common people. Selene and Michael are captured by the humans and kept in suspended animation for a dozen years. Then Selene was set free by the daughter she never knew she was even carrying.

The rest of the movie is a series of twist and turns until the TRUE menace is revealed. The special effects are pretty good. The gore reaches new heights. The villains are more evil than ever. It's pretty entertaining and action packed. My only real complaint is that it was too short, only one and a half hours.

Definitely worth seeing if you want to see action, horror and violence.

Scott Speedman did NOT return to play his role as Michael Corvin, the vampire / lycanthrope hybrid. They got a guy, who isn't even listed on IMDB, who looks pretty close yet different enough to make his screen presence very distracting. Luckily, there wasn't much of it.

They never explain where the name Eve for the hybrid child comes from. When asked, she said her name was test subject 2, so what gives?

The whole 3D thing wasn't necessary. I hardly noticed anything that warranted the treatment.

The movie is shockingly short. One hour and twenty eight minutes, ONLY. There was a lot of development that could've made the movie better had they lengthened it. However the movie works fine as it is.

A little more about the coven led by Thomas would've been nice. They made reference to members of the coven never seeing a Death Dealer before Selene. Why not???

For the horndogs, I think Kate Beckinsale accidentally lets a nip slip during her escape from the cryo chamber. Don't expect more. Not even a butt shot. Don't worry, she looks more amazing than ever.

How did the lycans develop the clout to orchestrate the great purge? It would've required infiltration into the government as well as huge resources that the lycans were never in possession of in the past.

The movie is left wide open as the portal to the second Underworld Trilogy.

The Progress of Disaster as an album is an exercise in healing. All songs were written after the untimely loss of nevereven's former bassist, Scott Shaeffer. It could loosely be regarded as a concept album, with every song dealing directly with death and renewal, with Remainder as it's brooding centerpiece.

Remainder is a narrative about one person's process in coping with suicide, not as the immediate victim of the act, but as the innocent bystander who has no choice but to be affected by the loss of loved ones taken by their very own hands.

The video is a reflection of this concept, starting out in a dark, dirty crawlspace giving the viewer a confined, stifling feeling...probably best and most memorably represented by the infamous plastic bag scene.

Throughout the video, the constant feeling of rising reflects a person's struggle in coming to grips with being the survivor of a suicidal act, the family, friend or acquaintance of the suicide victim...the remainder. The video's images of climbing stairs and ascending elevators portray this, as does the change in lighting, progressively getting brighter throughout the video. Every individual in the band is alone in the beginning and finding their own way to their destination at the top, culminating with the final (and only) full band shots in an open, bright room, with darkness still lurking in the corners.

Even though the song is one if nevereven's most radio friendly, the content found just beneath the surface within the lyrical content gives the listener much more than what they ever bargained for.

A wicked movie about the war between Vampyres and Lycans. Set in a timeless gothic city (budapest I think). The Vampyres are led by Victor and the Lycans by Lucian. Relativly low budget movie but it doesn't matter. Great cast, great action and Kate Beckensdale as Selene rocks!

Review Tuesday: BRIDESMAIDS

Last year I heard nothing but praise about how funny the movie BRIDESMAIDS was, how brilliant Kristen Wiig was, and why hadn't I seen it yet?

With high praise like that, I finally made it my mission to watch it, and did with Mrs. Bax0jayz for New Year's, while in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

When Lillian (Maya Rudolph) asks her life-long friend Annie (Kristen Wiig) to be the maid of honor at her wedding, jealousy breaks out then all sorts of mayhem ensues which jeopardizes friendships and even the wedding!

This is a movie that shows how complex (and funny) female relationships can be, especially at such a crucial time as a wedding. Helen (Rose Byrne) is the future sister-in-law and goes berserk trying to out-do Annie in every way. The rivalry strains the entire wedding party and everything starts going down the drain.

It's all very clever and entertaining to watch. I think the biggest problem I had with this movie was the EXPECTATIONS. It happened again! I had a long line of people tell me how hilarious this movie was, and to me, it didn't live up to the hype. It was a fun movie, and entertaining, but it didn't live up to the high praise everyone had given it. At least to me.

Still funny. Still worth watching.

The celebration was part of the pep rallies for the 2012 Rose Bowl game between Wisconsin and Oregon, as well as the iamFIRST initiative to create awareness for will.i.am's efforts with education. The 301 person marching band, led by Professor Michael Leckrone, chose "Great Times" for its fitting lyrics and energy. The track is the Brazilian promo single for will.i.am's upcoming solo album, #WILLPOWER, which is due out soon.

Review Tuesday: Young Adult

Last Friday Mrs Bax0jayz and I went to Devil Inside but when we got to the theater we were told that masses of people were charging out of it, asking for their money back, and leaving. So we thought quickly and decided on YOUNG ADULT instead.

Mavis Gary (Charlize Theron) is an author of a line of "young adult" books who has reached a point in her life that she realizes that she needs to reclaim her glory days by getting back together with her school days boyfriend, Buddy. There's a minor issue, Buddy's married with a newborn baby daughter.

The movie is about how Mavis plots her moves to take back the man she feels was destined to share her life with her. Her scheming pal is Matt (Patton Oswalt) who plays the part of the dude trying to talk sense into her crazy head.

The movie is a series of misadventures as Mavis tries to seduce Buddy and whisk him off from the dumpy backwater Minnesota town they came from. Some are funny. Some are chilling.

This movie comes to us from Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking) and Diablo Cody (Juno) so I was expecting it to be a little more funny - ha ha. While there were funny scenes, it wasn't that sort of movie. It was more drama than comedy. You get to watch Mavis swirl out of control until she decided to "grow up" and move on again. The the ending is NOT what you'd expect it to be.

Clever writing. Great acting. Interesting movie. Worth watching just to see how great Charlize Theron is on the screen.

First off, kidneythieves album writing is going great!

Second, I will be on East Coast and setting up another Intimate Acoustic Show! The first one went so well, we are doing it again. It was great to take the time to do some different things, and have social time and hear your stories. The recording of December's show will be available in about 10 days or so.

Twin Atlantic's "Twinstagram Mosaic Project" is nearly completed! The final piece of exclusive content is more than halfway to being unlocked. Twin Atlantic is encouraging fans to keep tagging their instagram posts with #freetwinatlantic. So far the "Twinstagram Mosaic Projoct" has seen exclusive live performances of "Make a Beast of Myself", "Free", "Time For You To Stand Up", and the Hadouken Remix of "Make a Beast of Myself" become unlocked.

The Twin Atlantic 'Instagram Project' launched on December 2nd and is the first of its kind. The project is pulling in fans' Instagram uploads tagged with the hashtag #freetwinatlantic and puts them all into their own grid allowing fans to interact with their own photo socially and share it with friends via Email, Facebook walls and Twitter. As the fans' pictures continue to grow, the photos will be pulled into a mosaic image of the 'Make A Beast Of Myself' single cover of the Virgin Mary and made into a lithograph composed of all the fans' images.
