After a meteorite hits ground, the after-effects are devastating to the family.
Halloween is this week. I like to try to have an HP Lovecraft related review for this time. It's not always easy since I have been doing these reviews for years. Earlier this year a friend (another friend) who is also a huge fan of HPL recommended it as she described it as freakishly scary, and nightmare inducing. When I mentioned it to my other friend (the usual friend) she was all in to see it!
A family living on the country had an extraordinary event happen. A meteorite crashed into their property. Over the days to come, very strange things happen. Apparently the meteorite brought a malevolent visitor that destroys their lives.
While this film didn't follow the source material very closely, it did add a modern edge to it. In this day and age we might might be scared of what HPL originally described in his work, which was clearly radioactive poisoning before anyone knew anything about it. This film, however, is fun and gory, which is good enough for an HPL flick. Worth watching!
