THE WEDDING TEST
From my email:
I was a very happy man. My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me...It was her beautiful younger sister.
My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and generally was bra-less. She would regularly bend down when she was near me, and I always got more than a nice view. It had to be deliberate. Because she never did it when she was near anyone else.
One day her "little" sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. Well, I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word.
She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last wild fling, just come up and get me."
I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. I stood there for a moment, then turned and made a beeline straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car.

Always keep your condoms in your car!!!

U2 Releases Rare Video Footage From The Unforgettable Fire
With the re-release of U2's fourth album, The Unforgettable Fire, the group has decided to share rarely seen before seen video footage with their fans. The video showcases frontman Bono speaking on the recording process of the breakthrough album and flashes back to some of the most historical songs ever written.
The special edition release of The Unforgettable Fire marks 25 years since the album's original release in October 1984. Recorded at Slane Castle, Ireland, The Unforgettable Fire was the first U2 album to be produced by Brian Eno and Danny Lanois, and spawned two top 10 UK singles - "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" and "The Unforgettable Fire."
The Unforgettable Fire is available now in four different formats, with deluxe editions that feature two previously unheard tracks from the Slane Castle sessions: "Yoshino Blossom", and "Disappearing Act" as well as a limited edition Super Deluxe package which includes a DVD featuring music videos, a documentary and unreleased live footage from the Amnesty International Conspiracy of Hope Tour in 1986.

On DVD: The Great Buck Howard
The Great Buck Howard apparently came out last year sometime. I don't remember anything about it, but it was the in-flight movie heading home from Aruba, so I decided to watch it.
It's the story of the the road manager, Troy Gable (played by Colin Hanks), of illusionist "The Great" Buck Howard (played by John Malkovich). This is really a look into the the life of a fading star as he tries to rebuild his career and become relevant again. Then once he does so, how he sabotages his own career to fall back into obscurity. Compelling to watch, even thought I had no expectations for the movie at all.
It's really based on the life story of Amazing Kresken, so it's all the more interesting to watch. It's a good, pleasant movie. If you catch it while channel surfing, it's worth a look.

Review Tuesday: Pay Attention by Ground Sound
There are albums that you like immediately, and albums you LOVE immediately. From the first note of "Funky Junky" from the album Pay Attention, I knew that Ground Sound was a group that can create musical magic.
Ground Sound is best described as a funk rock band. Their grooves and jams are perfect and upbeat. Then couple the music with versatile singing and profound lyrics and you have an amazing blend.
As I get albums in the mail I tend to make them into mp3s and transfer them to my player. But ever since the arrival of Pay Attention, I haven't been able to listen to anything else! This is definitely a very enjoyable album worth your time to listen to.

Orianthi's Album Out Today and Music Video Premiere

Alice in Chains announce Black Gives Way To Blue iPhone app
ALICE IN CHAINS has announced an October 27th release date for the BLACK GIVES WAY TO BLUE iPhone app. The app features full songs from the band's acclaimed new album on Virgin/EMI, music videos, news, photos, social networking and much more. The app separates itself from the pack with an impressive level of interactivity; its custom-built functionality allows fans to interact with each of the album’s 11 tracks via a touch, drag, and hold feature that reveals hidden visual gems. “With the Alice In Chains app, we wanted to represent every song on Black Gives Way To Blue as an interactive and immersive experience,” says Jeff Zakim, Senior Director, Global Digital Marketing, EMI Music. “We achieved that with the custom-designed Interactive Tracks. The interactivity is furthered by giving fans the ability to share, comment and connect across Fan Wall posts, email, Facebook and Twitter.”
Among the songs featured on the app, which will be available in most major markets, is lead single "Check My Brain," which continues to hold the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top Rock Songs Chart. Fueled by the hit single, Black Gives Way To Blue entered Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart at No. 5, with sales exceeding 126,000 copies.

Wolfmother release Cosmic Egg TODAY!
Today marks the release of Cosmic Egg, Wolfmother's highly anticipated sophomore album. Preceded by the ripping first single "New Moon Rising", the 12 track album is now available in an array of wondrous formats. You can pick up a copy of Cosmic Egg as a standard 12 track CD, a deluxe 15 track digipak CD, double gatefold vinyl and of course, as a 15 track deluxe digitally through iTunes. If that isn’t enough for you, there will be a lush box set to follow in the new year. The album has gotten its fair share of positive critiques already. Rolling Stone calls Cosmic Egg, "vintage Wolfmother – heavy Sabbath-esque riffs and heaving bass lines mixed with the distinctive wail of Andrew Stockdale that all add up to something raucous and thrilling." Artist Direct calls the album "A powerful and poignant rock n' roll record with all the ingredients of a modern classic." Wolfmother is currently on tour in the U.S. throughout the fall. A European tour will follow this winter.
The band also recently premiered a video for the song "New Moon Rising."
Cosmic Egg is the follow up to the band's self-titled debut in 2005.
