On DVD: The Fog (1980)

I've been trying to rent this one for months and the video store finally got it in, again. We wanted to see this before the new version of The Fog came out last October. So it was delayed about three months. It's okay.

I have to say that I liked this one better than the new one right away. Rather than developing side stories and some concept of a kindred soul being reborn in modern days, this was a plain horror movie that got right to it. They get to the scary aspect into the flick in good time. It kept up steadily after that. No one hiding in fridges. No love story. Just the fog rolling in and turning this town upside down and killing people. Done. A little crude but did the job. Plus it actually had a pretty good cast.

Definitely worth a view.
