It's the Holiday Season. A lot of people think it's cute to give live animals for gifts.
IT'S NOT CUTE. IT'S NOT SMART!
Why? Unless you know for certain an animal will be the right gift for the right person, you might just be dooming this creature to misery and possibly a premature death! After the various holidays the various animal shelters all over the world are inundated with unwanted pets that were given thoughtlessly.
Want to give a fuzzy gift? A teddy bear will be better than fine. Skip the gerbil, puppy, kitty, etc. You'll thank me in the long run.
