Give It 2 Madonna

The video for “Give It 2 Me,” the second single off of Madonna’s recently released Hard Candy proves that the Queen of Pop isn’t slowing down even for one second, and the rhythmic dance track proves that to a tee with lyrics like “I can go on and on and on” and “no one’s gonna stop me now.” The track was co-written and co-produced by Pharrell who is also featured in the video. Can’t get enough? It’s available for instant download on iTunes.

Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour will begin (hip) hopping around the world on August 23rd in Cardiff, Wales with stops in major European markets before its U.S. run. Be sure to get your tickets now before they sell out! Head over to https://tickets.madonna.com/ for more info.

Get Lost With Menudo

Yeah, THAT Menudo!

The legendary MENUDO have sold over 40 million records worldwide. Now -- two generations later -- a new, updated version of MENUDO is back, with a contemporary sound and look, and the same universal appeal.

Carlos, Chris, Emmanuel, José and Monti came together on the MTV & MTV Tr3s reality series Making Menudo. Viewers watched every week as the guys went through a demanding "boy-band boot camp" designed by legendary pop impresario Johnny Wright (*NSYNC, Britney Spears). The task of becoming part of the new MENUDO required the chosen five members to take part in a rigorous process of musical, choreographic, and professional education. Although each member specializes in a particular type of music, the guys do it all and love the fact that the new MENUDO’s music crosses over several genres.

MENUDO have recorded more than 50 new songs for their first album due out September 9th and are already veterans after working with a wide variety of contemporary producers and writers including Danja (Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake), J.R. Rotem (Usher, Destiny’s Child), and Akon. When asked about the album, José calls it "urban pop, R & B, ballads, Latin flavors, a little bit of electronic." Monti adds, "Everybody can relate to it. We put a lot of emotion into our songs, so we want to touch lives, we want to touch people."

Black Tide Unleash Let Me with Audio Streams

Black Tide have just unleashed the second single from their debut album Light From Above. “Let Me” evokes the sounds of late 80’s flavored Motley Crue and Skid Row and has been a staple of Black Tide’s live set since their now infamous Ozzfest stint.

Black Tide can be seen this summer as part of the inaugural Mayhem Festival which also features Slipknot, Disturbed, Dragonforce and Mastodon.

Car, fine. Me, not so much.

Last week I was visiting family when I told my bro-in-law about the front stress bar I installed on the FR (BluFord). He wanted to see how it looked, so since it was at night he grabbed a flashlight and off we went. It was a simple enough job when I installed it and he liked the way it looked as well as the described improvement in the handling and overall feel of the car. Then he noticed a bit of oil on the bottom of the tranny. He told me I MUST bring it back to Ford, as the car was still under warranty, and have them fix it.

OK. I did so. They removed everything around the wet spot and found nothing that the oil could've leaked from and just gave the car a clean bill of health. That's always reassuring to hear.

With that cleared out of my mind I decided to concentrate on another source of stress, my right arm. It's been in pain pretty much since we got back from the Caymans. I searched my memory and finally recalled yanking a suitcase from a trunk too harshly and feeling a little pain in my shoulder and elbow. But that was weeks ago, how can it still be bothering me? So I started to swing my briefcase on my other shoulder and guess what? The pain diminished. I now worry that my other shoulder will start to ache, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

So in the end, the car is fine, and I will be too, in a little time. I'll just deal with it in the meantime.

The Georgi Vodka Girl reappears

About a year or two ago NYC made a big stink that the Georgi Vodka ads which included a photo of the buttocks of a girl in a full back bikini that reads "GEORGI" on MTA Buses were inappropriate and unsuitable for public view. I always LOVED those ads. That was a fine ass! So they dried up quickly and weren't to be seen again.

That is until last week when I snapped this pic with my trust "crap cam" and it clearly shows an MTA Long Island Bus bearing the ad of my greatest dreams.

This isn't an old ad, by the way. I've seen these on other buses and this is this summer's ad campaign. It sure brightened up a battered old N1 Bus traveling along Hempstead Turnpike.

Welcome back, fine ass!
