Last week I was visiting family when I told my bro-in-law about the front stress bar I installed on the FR (BluFord). He wanted to see how it looked, so since it was at night he grabbed a flashlight and off we went. It was a simple enough job when I installed it and he liked the way it looked as well as the described improvement in the handling and overall feel of the car. Then he noticed a bit of oil on the bottom of the tranny. He told me I MUST bring it back to Ford, as the car was still under warranty, and have them fix it.
OK. I did so. They removed everything around the wet spot and found nothing that the oil could've leaked from and just gave the car a clean bill of health. That's always reassuring to hear.
With that cleared out of my mind I decided to concentrate on another source of stress, my right arm. It's been in pain pretty much since we got back from the Caymans. I searched my memory and finally recalled yanking a suitcase from a trunk too harshly and feeling a little pain in my shoulder and elbow. But that was weeks ago, how can it still be bothering me? So I started to swing my briefcase on my other shoulder and guess what? The pain diminished. I now worry that my other shoulder will start to ache, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
So in the end, the car is fine, and I will be too, in a little time. I'll just deal with it in the meantime.
