The new horror franchise reboot "Friday the 13th" shredded the competition in the weekend box office take by more than the next two combined. this goes to show that reviews are meaningless, people just like senseless violence in films.

No doubt. I thought the remake would TANK.
The combination of these old favorites with new technology and being more graphic just draws poeple in. Rob Zombie's Halloween did so well that a new one is due out this year, I think.
I agree about the tech, but I saw Zombie's Halloween, and really wasn't impressed. Give me the oldies any day.
