In Print: The Complete Underworld by Danny McBride, Kris Oprisko

I've been seeing a book called "The Complete Underworld" for a while. I was wondering if it was something new, a comic, or what. So when I saw it go on sale, I ordered it.

It's a graphic novel, which means it a thick and expensive comic book. Two thirds of the book are the first two Underworld movies drawn up in comic format. The art for those parts are so-so, and with all the detail left out you can read a whole movie inside of 15 minutes. The final third of the book is a prequel showing the creation of the Lycan Raze. While it was an interesting story, it seems pretty stupid now that the third move came out and actually showed his origin. It wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't so poorly written with sub-par artwork.

I would say this book is really only for the Underworld super-fan who has to have everything Underworld available. Anyone else? Pass. Save your money.
