DPJ

DeWayne Matthew Counce, born October 23, 1984 in Minneapolis, Minnesota was raised and brought up in the Twin Cities area, more specifically in the city of Brooklyn Park. At an early age, it was obvious that DeWayne was blessed with a very rare gift and talent for music.

By the age of 4, DeWayne was an established backup drummer for his father's church, Faith Center Revival. As the years went by, DeWayne became more and more inclined towards mastering the guitar thanks to the work generated by his cousin Spud (Too Tight), and the artist, Prince. Incredibly enough, DeWayne was able to teach himself the basic fundamentals of playing the guitar, yet his eagerness on mastering the instrument did not stop him from seeking guidance from local musicians as needed - which wasn't often!
