New Yorker Josh Charles will host his EP release party at City Winery for his forthcoming release titled Trippin' The Keys: The Music of Jimi Hendrix. The EP will feature a fresh perspective on Jimi Hendrix classics all played on the piano. The free digital release will drop

WHO:
The unique EP features Charles on piano and solo vocal. Charles' ability to break down classics of Jimi Hendrix on piano is a testament to his amazing talent (Keep in mind he was mentored by Dr John!). The tracklist for the EP includes, Little Wing, All Along the Watchtower, Hey Joe and Voodoo Chile.
Charles stated, "My goal for the EP was to imagine if Jimi was a piano player rather than a guitar virtuoso, what would it sound like with him singing and playing his songs by himself."
Earlier this year, Josh released his much anticipated full length CD, Love, Work & Money, which features members of Dr. John's band, his touring band, and was recorded in New Orleans and New York. The LP was produced by Josh Charles and Steve Jabas, and mixed by Grammy Winning engineer and producer Gregg Rubin (Harry Connick Jr) and was released by CC Entertainment/E1.
Josh, who is sponsored by Sennheiser microphones, has appeared on Good Morning America, Tavis Smiley, CNN, as well as numerous network affiliates around the country, and has been featured in USA Today, The Huffington Post and Keyboard Magazine. He has also been interviewed on Voice of America, performed on WoodSongs, Acoustic Cafe and has recorded a Live at Apple session. Known for his social media skills, earlier this year Josh participated in the Mashable Media Summit as a panelist.
