In Print: The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks

Some time back I reviewed the book World War Z. Since that book really dragged me into the fascinating world of the undead that Max Brooks created, I wanted to read more and got The Zombie Survival Guide.

This book is composed to two main sections:

1. The Survival Guide.
2. Reported Outbreaks.

The survival guide is a set of parameters regarding how to recognize an outbreak, how to prepare for it, and what to do about it. It's one of those things that can really make you think about how to defend your home in any emergency situation. While some parts were dry, it was all provocative.

The reported outbreaks are historical and go back for centuries. It's interesting to read because of the terminology used to describe zombies from various cultures in the past. Also some of the outbreaks are linked up, and the understanding of what causes the dead to rise.

If you liked World War Z, you will also get a kick out of this book. It's playful and makes you think. Worth reading!
