On DVD: Powder Blue

Possibly one of the biggest deals for lonely fan-boys recent;y was the movie POWDER BLUE. The big draw was that Jessica Biel played a stripper in it and did substantial nude scenes. I don't even remember if it even hit theaters, but I know the DVD was hard to get for a long time after that. I finally secured a copy and watched it.

This movie is about the depressing lives of a bunch of people and how they impact each other's lives at Christmas time.

The name most people focused in on was Jessica Biel. She plays Rose, a stripping single mom with a dying child. Everyone wanted to see the nude scenes, but, while they WERE pretty hot, the whole rest of the movie was cast so well, that you were more interested in seeing what everyone is up to, as opposed to only seeing Jessica nekkid.

There are several layers of story going on, and each one is very interesting. You can feel the torment in the lives of the cast and it's all very compelling. I don't want to say too much more because I think this movie is worth watching, so go check it out.
