Singer, musician, and songwriter WRABEL recently released his new EP Sideways via Island Records, and today unveiled an up-close-and personal video where he discusses his big move from Texas to Los Angeles along with the making of the album. "I absolutely 100% thought I'd move out here, and within a week I would be Oprah-rich with a wall lined with Grammys," explains Wrabel. "It did not happen that way." Sideways also features collaborations with such names as Greg Kurstin (Tegan & Sara), Jim Eliot (Ellie Goulding), Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse) and Drew Pearson (One Republic). Nylon Magazine referred to Wrabel's sound as "stocked with the soulfulness of Sia or Sam Smith, and a melodic pop DNA that throws back to icons like Paul Simon."
Wrabel will perform a free showcase at Rockwood Music Hall on September 10th in New York City. For more information on Wrabel, be sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter.
