The Conjuring:
The Devil Made Me Do It
When an exorcism goes wrong, a deeper conspiracy is discovered.
This movie is the third titled THE CONJURING, but ninth in this series which also includes The Nun and all those Annabelle movies. On a rare occasion, Mrs Bax0jayz and I got to see a recent movie!

This time the Warrens thought they were walking into a demonic possession, but it turned out to be deeper conspiracy. It turned out to be a murder / suicide curse cast by Satanic Cultists. The Warrens needed to unravel the mystery and find the occultist responsible before more lives are lost, including one boy on trial and even that of Ed Warren himself!

This movie was a lot of fun. The cast is amazing and they all do a great job. Huge amounts of suspense are developed at just the right moments. The special effects were really good. The way the story and conspiracy unfolds works very well.

There really isn't a whole lot that I want to write on this as it might involve spoilers. What I can say, what stepped this up a notch was the actual proof that this was based on a true story. Usually when they say a movie is based on actual events, it's just some small nugget that they expand for the cinema. In this one they provide the newspaper articles and even the recordings from the initial exorcism. I would call this nearly two hours of good horror fun, if that appeals to you, and a solid installment in the series.
