Review Tuesday: The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (2021)

Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard - Salma Hayek gets potty mouthed at premiere!

The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard
(2021)
When Darius (Samuel L Jackson)  goes missing his wife Sonia (Salma Hayek) recruits Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) to help find him. Mayhem ensues.
Like I said a week ago, Mrs Bax0jayz enjoyed the first movie so much she couldn't wait to see the sequel. Personally I think she liked watch Ryan Reynolds but more on that theory another day. During the same trip in early January we sat to watch The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard.

This starts off with Michael Bryce trying to de-stress. As soon as his vacation starts, he is invaded by Sonia, the wife of  Darius. She need his help to find Darius. Of course the request is during a shoot out during an auto chase. Right to the action!

This movie follows a similar formula as the first. It's a series of misadventures and how they manage to get out of it. The movie runs 1:39, which is amazing because I think they have Salma Hayek call Sam "mi cucaracha" about 10,000 times. That was annoying and got old FAST. Otherwise, plenty of action and humor. We agreed that this movie wasn't nearly as good as the first, but still fun to watch.
