The two tracks released in advance of the album were STAY ALIVE and TERRIBLE LIE. Terrible Lie is a pretty good cover of the NIN song, but I don't care for the drum line in this version. STAY ALIVE is your basic don't end up like this guy song. It's very good and sets the pace for this record. Indeed this album is VERY good. I would say it lines up with music from the first album, Wisconsin Death Trip. So, if you liked their classic era, this album is perfectly suited for you.

I highly recommend it.

In other Static-X news, the band continues to tour with Xer0taking up lead vocals and guitars, wearing a Wayne Static mask. At some point I suppose Edsel Dope will own up to being the Wayne replacement. He seems to be a team player and NOT completely out of control so this should be a good relationship within the band. There is supposed to be a Static-X documentary coming out in the next year or so. This is what I am most interested in. Previously I liked Wayne very much and his interviews made him seem like a reasonable guy, but after his death the stories of his wild side and abuses seemed he indulged in a life of narcissism and massive excesses. So I am looking for to that. I am also looking forward to new STATIC-X music that's not dusted off Wayne rejects. I am not saying the PROJECT REGENERATION volumes aren't good, they are quite good, I would like to hear what the current line-up can create.
