A couple random thoughts of the day

Why does there appear to be an abundance of scatalogical remains from various large quadrapeds all over Astoria and the Upper East Side? I've been shocked for a while by the relative cleanliness of both neighborhoods for some time now, but now it's a horror show. It's like a mine field. Argh! The cruel stench of it!

Spring "sprung" two days ago but it finally feels like it. About time. But then again, it's supposed to revert to chillier temperatures again tomorrow. I'll take what I can get.

I went into Duane Reade to see if I can get yellow marshmallow peeps for my wife for Easter. None available. I tried a couple locations too, no dice. WTF??!?!?!1

Why is it that greeting cards are so expensive now? I remember when I used to work in the card shop they had a nice selection of reasonably priced cards. No such thing anymore. Ripoff artists.

I go to the book rack. I see there is a new Jason Bourne novel out. I hear good things about that series maybe I'll start on those after I finish the Vampire series by Anne Rice. I glance through the magazine rack. The magazines for women are the best. They have all the best looking broads on the covers. Men's mags have chicks on the covers. Women's magazine's have chicks on the covers. Interesting. Hmm. Sarah Michelle Gellar is on the cover of Cosmo. Is she promoting something? A new movie? Wait. That's not Sarah. That's Avril Lavigne!?!?! Whoa! She doesn't look like a midget at all. Lemme have a closer look. Dag. She looks hot. Nice body on her. Hmm. I guess she's tired of the tomboy thing. Well, with a shape like she has, I don't know why she'd let it go to waste. They did a great job of making her look like she's not 3 feet tall.
