International Women's Day

Tuesday the 8th of March was International Women's Day. On Wednesday the NY Metro ran a questionaire on the street whether or not it should become a national holiday. The responses were along these lines:

Sure. Why not?
We do a lot of work so we should have our own holiday.
Women deserve their own holiday.

Then in today's Metro Kristina Leonardi whines in her article "Women's day went by without a word" that this special day wasn't properly observed and women continue to be oppressed.

But the truth of the matter is that there are plenty of holidays for women.

Which?

ALL OF THEM!!!

Here's the proof, if a man forgets any holiday, his woman will never let him forget it. Look at the cards on the various holidays. Tons for wives, mothers and romance, but very few for men. Women bask in the attention they get over all these holidays.

So in my opinion it's a total crock if they create a holiday just for women.
