Rabid Rush fans suck

There is not a more disgusting fan in the music world as a Rush fan. Not only are they pretentious and pompous, but they seem to think they have a worldly profundity from listening to Rush.

Fine.

Rush is very talented. Geddy is a great bassist. Neil is a great drummer. Alex is a mediocre at best guitartist. But somehow, Alex is the only guy in that band I like.

Why?

He's the only animated member on stage. He runs around. He's laughing. He makes mistakes and hits sour notes. He's having a good time. He's BEING A ROCK STAR for goodness' sake! Neil has been sitting behind one of the coolest drum kits for decades and gets to play cool tunes and hasn't cracked a smile in 30 years of Rush.

And Geddy is a pompous bastard. Mr. Super Bassist made sure that after the Roll the Bones tour he never toured with Primus again because Les Claypool is a far more innovative musician. In fact, after that tour Rush recorded their first album in which Geddy used bass chords. Maybe a little trick he picked up from Les? Rush fans will say no, but those who are REASONABLE know the truth.

But I do think they are a very talented band. But you seen them once, don't bother seeing them again. Same shit time and again. Why waste money? They don't even have fun on stage. Looks like a job like picking up the garbage.

So, to all those Rush fanataics out there,

FUCK OFF!!!

Leave me alone. I'm a musician. I know what I like. You can't convince me. Rush doesn't suck, but YOU DO. Thanks for helping me hate a good prog rock band. Now I think I'll go buy a Dream Theater album and Yes dvd you phukkers.
