Star Wars Books

I just finished reading "Labyrinth of Evil" by James Luceno. It's a Star Wars, Episode III Prequel Book that's supposed to lead into the next movie / book "Revenge of the Sith."

The book is a quick and easy read. It just reinforces some of the things that you'd assume would be in there, Kenobi is wiser but watches Anakin closely, Anakin uses the depths of his anger in battle, Sidious is on the run, Jedi are getting wiped out, Grievous is vicious, etc, etc.

But the book does read like a comic book, likely on a 5th grade level.

What really struck me was the big stack of books in the Clone Wars Series that came out. There's about a dozen books that fill the gaps between Ep2 and Ep3, including a bunch of Boba Fett books. How he goes from child in Ep2 to some killing machine in less than 3 years (that's the time span between the two movies) is quite beyond me, even if he was a clone of Jango.

That aside, I did like "Labyrinth of Evil" and I can't wait for "Revenge of the Sith" to come out in book form in a little more than a month from now.
