I get on the #7 this morning. I was on schedule, it was about 8:15 and I was at the 52nd Street Station. I should be in the city by 8:30.
Um. No.
There was a disabled 7 at Grand Central Station and no sevens were running in nor out of Manhattan. That's fine. I take the 7 to Queensborough Plaza and transfer to the N or W.
Um. No.
We sat.
And sat.
And waited some more.
Then there was an announcement, "Seven Trains are being held in their stations due to a Police investigationat 40th Street."
My brow furrowed. 40th? That's in Queens. Why is there a Police investigation there? I thought the problem was a disabled train at Grand Central. How odd?
At about 9:00 they make this announcement, "Seven service will be resuming momentarily. The power has been turned on again after the Police removed a disruptive passenger from the tracks at the 40th Street Station."
WHAT!?!?!?! It took over 45 minutes to shoot this jerk and drag his carcass off the tracks? They should've let the trains run him over. Asshole. I got to work at 9:40 as a result. Phukker.
