I have ordered from Amazon.com on many occasions. You can get so many different things at one site that it is almost TOO convenient.
So lately I've been reading the Vampire series by Anne Rice. I'm well into The Queen of the Damned and wanted to get the next one in line, Tale of the Body Thief. Somehow that one was hard to find a couple months back. So I located a seller who had both Tale of the Body Thief and The Vampire Armand so I ordered them. This was during tax season. By the time tax season ended Armand arrived, but not Thief. I called the seller up. He said he'd take care of it and get the book out to me asap.
That was a couple weeks ago.
So I got some time today and called him again. He looked it up and according to his records the book went out. Since he didn't have another he refunded me the amount of the book and the shipping. I may have come out ahead by some small change, but now I'm left trying to find the book again.
In terms of the first book seller I am even. I got what I paid for. He didn't rip me off. But now I'm soured because I was hoping to have that for vacation time that's coming up very soon. I'm annoyed, but I know I shouldn't be.
