Movie Review: Army of Darkness

The final installment in the Evil Dead series, Army of Darkness reflects the advances in film technology. If you take a look at Evil Dead, from 1982, and compare it to Army of Darkness (1991) there is a world of difference.
For starters, AoD is actually watchable. It's so much more refined. While all the movies had a plot, the stories told just became progressively better.
AoD starred Bruce Campbell as Ash, once again. This horror satire is done as well as any horror film but reminds you with bits of humor that it shouldn't be taken seriously at all. The story is that Ash gets sent back in time to about 1300 AD when the demons are banished from the present. He ends up in a tale of knights battling demons, essentially a King Arthur setting.
All that stuff is not as important as the highlights: Evil Ash, and the mini Ash creatures. Great stuff. Very entertaining. I highly recommend it for rental.
