NY Baseball Teams getting new homes

Within one week plans for new stadiums for both New York teams, the Yankees and the Mets, have been unveiled. As long as my tax dollars don't go into this, I really don't care either way.

The Yanks will remain in the Bronx, just across the street in that same delightful area they are already in. I think the number was $800 million on this project, and no dome! Jeez.

The new Mets' stadium will also be the location for the 2012 Olympics should NYC win the bid. However, if the new Shea Stadium involves shutting down the Corona Junk Yard District, I think I'll be pretty annoyed. Not too many places to find good deals on used auto parts in these parts.
