Tripp is phuct

Tod Rex Salvador, aka Tripp Eisen: guitarist for Static-X, seems to have lost his job due to some SERIOUS legal woes and no tax evasion BS! The Static-X website was very silent on his departure, only saying that he would be unable to meet his obligations to the band, so he was out.

STATIC-X'S, TRIPP EISEN, NOW STATIC X'S EX-GUITARIST!!!
TRIPP EISEN ARRESTED IN SEX ASSULT ON CHILD

POLICE STATE THAT EISEN MET OLD BRIDGE, NJ 14 YEAR OLD FEMALE ONLINE AND LURED HER TO HAVE SEX WITH HIM AFTER BEING OUT ON BAIL FOR A SIMILIAR ARREST JUST 3 WEEKS PRIOR

By Gannett New Jersey

OLD BRIDGE -- He told the 14-year-old Sayreville girl he was "T-Rex" and he liked to impersonate the guitarist for the heavy-metal band they both followed, Static-X, authorities said.

But the 39-year-old man accused of meeting the girl through an Internet chat line, driving from Pennsylvania and sexually assaulting her in an Old Bridge shopping center in January was no impersonator, police said.

Tod Rex Salvador, who goes by the stage name Tripp Eisen, a guitarist for Static-X, was apprehended Thursday in Orange County, Calif., by two detectives from New Jersey, officials said.

Salvador, of Burbank, Calif., was charged with kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, luring to entice a minor through the Internet and endangering the welfare of a child.

If convicted, Salvador could face a maximum of 30 years in prison on the the kidnapping charge alone.

Other victims

When Detective Scott Crocco of the Old Bridge Police Department and Detective Sgt. David Jones of the state police encountered Salvador, he had just gotten out of jail.

Police in California arrested Salvador on Feb. 10 after finding him sleeping in a parked car with an underage girl with whom he had just had sexual intercourse, said Jon Fleischman of the Orange County Sheriff's Department. That arrest occurred in Santa Ana, authorities said.

Salvador was charged with committing a lewd act with a child and was released after posting $100,000 bail, Fleischman said.

Following his arrest Thursday, Salvador was turned over to the Central Men's Jail in Santa Ana. He is being held there without bail while he awaits extradition to New Jersey, authorities said.

Lt. Kevin Rehmann of the New Jersey State Police said investigators believe Salvador targeted other girls.

"We've confiscated several computers to examine them to see if there are other victims," Rehmann said. "We suspect there may be in several other states."

The music scene

Static-X is one of the most popular groups to emerge from what's known as the nu-metal scene of the late 1990s that spawned bands such as Korn.

Frontman Wayne Static of Michigan founded Static-X in Southern California in the mid-1990s, and the band released it's debut album, "Wisconsin Death Trip," in 1998. The album went gold, selling half a million copies. The group is known for its jarring rhythms and Wayne Static's heavily gelled stand-up hair.

The band last played in Central Jersey in November 2003 at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

A new Static-X album from Warner Bros. Records is scheduled for release later this year.

A call placed to the band's publicist at Warner Bros. was not returned.

Salvador, under the name Tripp Eisen, joined Static-X in 2001. Before then, Eisen was a member of the New York City metal band Dope and the Murderdolls, a group he helped form. Even though Eisen joined Dope as a bassist, he soon switched to guitar and quickly developed a reputation as one of the flashiest and most theatrical players in heavy metal.

Eisen cut a striking figure with his dyed dreadlocks, white-face makeup and black eyeliner on stage. According to a fan Web site, the cryptic sayings on his T-shirts come from works by Ayn Rand, the Cold War author of polemical novels that espoused a politically conservative viewpoint.

Online predator

Police said the Sayreville girl met Salvador on a Web Site where he used the screen name "groverygodadat" under the heading "never married male looking for female." He listed himself as a Republican and the holder of a doctorate. In the section listing the acceptable education level of people he wished to meet, he wrote, "Elementary, High School, Some College, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Doctorate."

He started exchanging e-mails with the girl in October, Rehmann said.

"He tells the girl he's a fan of the band and portrays himself to look like the guitarist in (Static-X)," Rehmann said.

He drove to Old Bridge on Jan. 7 from Pen Argyl, Pa., in a white Ford pickup truck belonging to a Pennsylvania relative, said Lt. Robert Weiss of the Old Bridge Police Department. Salvador, who once lived in New Jersey, was back in Pennsylvania from the West Coast on an extended holiday visit.

He drove the Sayreville girl around for a while and then had consensual sex with her in the truck in the parking lot of the shopping center, Weiss said.

The girl's mother found out about the assault and went to Old Bridge Detective Thomas Montagna, who started the investigation, Weiss said.
