Chris Squire is the only member who has been on every single YES album. That's right, he's the only bassist YES has ever had since their first album in 1969! Of course, I'm not counting that ABWH thing from the early 90's.
IMO, he was the first bassist to push the conceived limits of what a bassist's job was. He played more like a guitarist, but was distinctly bass. Armed with his Rick (BTW he somehow landed one of the first Rickenbacker basses in the UK!!!), he's created all sorts or beautiful music over the years. If you love a challenge on the bass, listen to SOUND CHASER on RELAYER and you'll know this man is a bass god!
