It appears that a place in NY has finally caught on to the giant burger gimmick.
SLATE
Slate offers a 14 inch hamburger. They do take out, which is what we did. The meat is 48 ounces. The bread is a toasted and buttered loaf of sourdough. They give you a tin full of fixings: mescalin salad, grilled onions, and tomatoes.
We also got two tins of french fries.
Among the four of us we wiped it all out in about 15 minutes.
The burger tasted fine, but the bread was a bit overwhelming, but we handled it. It does NOT come with pickles.
The place is nice if you want to eat in.
