Spears to replace Applegate in Sweet Charity?

Christina Applegate is probably known best for her role as Kelly Bundy on Married With Children. Since that show's demise she's moved on to greater things, movies and Broadway. She was fighting hard to get "Sweet Charity" back up in lights and attained her goal earlier this year. So what does she do? After six months she's calling it quits this month. My wife and I are going to catch it before she departs.

But it seems that Britney Spears is in negotiations to replace Applegate. It's been said that Spears can handle the singing and dancing, but what about the acting. Acting on Broadway is not like the movies. You don't have to look natural. You act. It's usually better when it's OVERACTED, so that shouldn't be hard to do. It's the singing that's the real issue. Will Britney lip-synch the whole show? In addition, he voice isn't even a nice flowing projecting style that they usually have on the stage. I predict the show shutting down on her watch.
