Today's Update: A little progress. I've had too many sleepless nights lately so I called it an early night last night. I do my best work between 11:00PM and 1AM. That was not gonna happen again. So I made a temporary base from 1/2" lucite for painting ease and mounted her up. Red putty was on hand for the gaps along the neck and arms where the parts were joined.
I decided how I would paint it in the last day or two. After much research I've decided her entire costume is leather. So I will paint the entire model semi-gloss black. I will make the boots glossy with a little Future Floor Wax, and the gauntlets will be flat. A model completely "one shade of black" will look plain odd. You can only get away with that on Venom since it's all one piece. Last night I picked up some spray paint for this job. I also got some "hot rod black primer" to try out. I see black primer getting high marks from many modelers across the pond. The goggles will be silver with blue lenses.
I took a close up of the face -- it's nicely sculpted isn't it!
