Focus: New Marker lights

Since I didn't get to work on the car last weekend, I had to do it today. Of course we had a nice cold snap and it wasn't fun at all. I changed the oil for the first time on this car. Since everything is Bosch under the hood I went with their oil filter and 4.5 quarts of Valvoline 5W20. I probably will go heavier next time around. I'm not really a believer in the protective qualities of thin oil.

I also wanted to install the K&N Air Filter I special ordered for the car. One problem. The air filter canister doesn't seem to be able to be opened! It's sealed shut. No screws. No clips. Nothing. You can see a foam element in the canister, but there's no way to get it out. I guess I'll have to return it. Unless I come up with a bright idea quick.

My clear side marker lights arrived this week so I figured I'd install them as the fender well was opened for the filter. That wasn't the easiest job, but it wasn't too bad. I like the way they turned out. I always replaced yellow bulbs in my cars with white whenever I could in the past, so this was just the most recent occurrence.

And, yeah, that's my thumb sticking out of a shredded rubber glove in the pic. I didn't even notice!
