On DVD: Van Wilder

National Lampoon's VAN WILDER came out in 2002. Can you imagine that? Four years already. I remember the media blitz back then. You'd think it was the most important movie to come out since The Color Purple.

Needless to say, that's the furthest from the truth.

For the most part, I was disappointed. It had it's funny parts. But it wasn't a nonstop laugh fest. Just a lot of male nudity and morons acting like morons. If you like Tara Reid, you might like it, but her scratchy voice wears thin in short time. Some of the many unlikable characters make the movie even harder to watch.

There's better comedy out there. Try another one.
