WTF Friday: News item of t3h day

Mind your noise level

In NY a couple guys were creating a huge ruckus that they terribly annoyed another neighbor. This irate neighbor went up and pounded on the door until they let him in. At that time he pistol whipped both men in the apartment and left.

But he came back.

WITH A KNIFE!!!

And proceded to stab the two men to death.

This news story makes no sense on so many levels. If he pistol whipped the two guys, he obviously has a gun. Why leave to get a knife? Couldn't he get them to quiet down by asking or calling the cops, as opposed to double homicide? What goes on in a man's head?
