In Print: Angels & Demons by Dan Brown

A surprise for me! A good book...

FINALLY!

Not one, but two friends recommended this to me. I was interested in reading The DaVinci Code so I can be ready for the movie, and this book ANGELS & DEMONS goes ahead of it. You don't have to read them in that order, but they do reference the action from this book in The divines Code. So If you don't want to wonder what all the talk about the Vatican is all about, then read this first.

This book, ANGELS & DEMONS by Dan Brown is a fast paced story about a conspiracy against the Catholic Church. Well, sorta. Well. It's involved and saying anything more than that might ruin the story for you. I don't want to do that. You will thank me. You'll want to go into this blind.

From the very beginning you're sucked right in and the pages just seem to turn themselves. With all the twists and turns and the way the story moves, you might even get a little dizzy. But it's more a dizziness from excitement. You can't wait to get to the next page and you WILL be sitting on the edge of your seat. Since I read this on vacation, it was a chaise lounge with a Scotch and Pepsi close at hand.

Brown writes in a very readable and understandable way. No ancient English. No pretentious vocabulary. It's not entertainment for the pseudo intellectuals. It's just a very interesting and fun read. Tons of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. Nothing is as it seems. You love every minute of it. Not to mention the ambigrams are very cool. In fact I think I might get one as a tattoo! (Stay tuned for news on that...)

If you haven't read The DaVinci Code, read Angels & Demons first. It'll get your pulse ready...
