Visionarie's Maul Cyborg concept

Years ago, after Star Wars Episode One "The Phantom Menace," there was talk that there would be a half cyborg ally of the Sith. Half?!?! So that keyword sent a lot of people's imaginations spinning. One result was the concept that Darth Maul's remains were saved on Naboo, and he was given a robotic lower half. Sounded like a good concept, but I never saw it "fleshed out" until I find the attached pic. In this rendering, it's VERY COOL. People might've gone berserk if a cyborg Maul appeared in EPIII instead of General Grievous. Who's to say?
