Building Collapse: Part II

After all the news about this strange occurance yesterday here in NYC, I thought that I should fill in the details that I had NOT posted previously on my blog.

Only ONE person was actually IN that building (located between Madison and Park on 62nd Street) when it blew up, the owner. It seems that the doctor who owned that property was getting through a messy divorce. To comply with the divorce settlement the doctor would have to sell his $10 million four story brownstone on the upper east side. He decided he'd rather blow it up while still inside than to hand it over to his estranged wife. In the morning he allowed the gas to leak and ignited it before nine o'clock in the morning when no one was in the building. The blast leveled the building, blew out neighboring windows and doors, but still the doctor managed to survive. He's extremely critical at this time.
