GW talks shit

At the G8 conference, unbeknownst to the President of the United States of America, there was a microphone at the table where they were eating. President Bush was commenting on how he want s the UN to get something done, and that a well placed call to Syria should end all this "shit." I think I actually like him more now.

Still no Peace in the Middle East

Escalation continues between Israel and Lebanon. As ground f0orces move into Lebanon, and airstrikes continue, and rockets are flying overhead, the death toll is growing. There is worldwide fear that this might set of a chain reaction completely destabilizing the region.

Heatwave

The high temperatures that most of the country has been enduring is expected to continue through the weekend. In the NY area we're expected to see a little relief tonight with some thunderstorms. You know it's bad out when it was still 90+ degrees out last night after 7:00 PM, and 81 degrees when you awake. Air conditioners can't keep up.

Author Mickey Spillane Dies

Mickey Spillane, best known for his detective series of books anda television show (starring Stacy Keach) about Mike Hammer, died Monday at the age of 88 from cancer.
