(click pic for larger version)I always thought that Gwen Stefani was a cutie pie, until she decided to go for the solo record she traded in her sweet-girl-next-door image for pop-hot. I'm sure that helped her sell records, get play for her songs and videos, and the need to made appointments for the Brinks Truck to haul her fortune to the bank.
Well, I also think that maybe there was a degree of vanity in the make-over. Gwen is well into her 30's. She might have wanted to do that heartthrob thing while she can. In addition, she was able to do it without plastic surgery. Seeing her jiggling her ass in those videos and moving around in tiny little tight outfits was fun. She's got her act together. She might've scored higher if she didn't just squat out a rugrat that was sired by Gavin Rosdale. That was a -3.
