On DVD: Made (2001)

This was the second movie in the "MONEY" collection DVD set: Swingers and MADE. The stars are about the same, but this cast is even more stellar. Essentially you have two lifelong friends who get involved in the mob to try to change their bleak futures. Bobby (Jon Favreau) plays the guy who is focused on making things better for himself, his girlfriend and her daughter. Ricky (Vince Vaughn) is the loser friend who can't seem to straighten himself out no matter what. The eternal phukkup.
This movie is the chronicle of their stint in the mob. They are sent by the local boss, Max (played by Peter Falk) to New York where they will be involved in a deal with Puff Daddy, the local crime boss. The bulk of the movie is about Bobby and Ricky bickering and messing things up. It's funny at times, but it starts to drone on after a while.

The movie did have it's fun moments, but unless your in the mood for Vince acting as the world's biggest douschebag screwing everything up for his best friend nonstop, you might not be able to stomach this flick. I call it mediocre at best.
