Happy Birthday Steven!

Born with the name Steven Patrick, this musician is best known by his last name: Morrissey. He turns 48 today. Considering all of his terribly depressing lyrics, I'm surprised he's made it this far without killing himself. Morrissey is an icon of the 80's New Wave movement. As the front man for The Smiths, his unusual singing voice and emotional lyrics, he catapulted himself into music legend. Decades later, this man is still going strong and continues to belt out the depressing tunes. Probably the greatest success of his career was the song "How Soon is Now?" which has been featured in nearly every movie about witches for some reason and covered by almost every band, even TATU. But my fav of his solo career is "We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful" for which the single was the first CD I ever purchased.
