Happy Birthday Nicko!

Possibly, the drummer who was the greatest initial influence over my drumming style was Nicko McBrain from Iron Maiden. He's a butt-ugly dude, but he has a great time on stage and plays awesomely. His drumming style is very complicated for a single bass drummer. I started by playing Motley Crue, and worked up to Iron Maiden, then moved on from there to Yes, Rush, Primus, etc. Even though I've listened to many bands over the years I still find myself enjoying a good play along with some Iron Maiden.
