Second Notice

I got in an envelope from one of the credit card companies that was marked "SECOND NOTICE." An immediate sense of dread shocked through me. How could I have missed my payment? I never miss payments!

I ripped into the letter, and relief overtook me. Second notice, my ass. They were raising my credit limit and were sending a second batch of checks if I wanted to transfer a balance. How annoying.
