Crunk-rockers Family Force 5 have won Yahoo! Music’s “Who’s Next” May contest promotion. The much-coveted voting program, fueled by the fan’s favorite picks, found Family Force beating out competitors including The Almost, Kaiser Chiefs, and Electric Soft Parade for the month-long run of online voting. As the winning band, Family Force 5 taped an exclusive performance and interview at the Yahoo! Music studios in Los Angeles , as well as being featured for a full month online.

Family Force 5 hit the road on the Warped Tour this summer, where they will explode on stage with their over the top stage show. The band’s high energy performance mixed with their punk/rock/crunk style will start a party on the Hurley Stage this summer.
Other highlights to date have included performances on CBS TV’s The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, two performances on DIRECTV’s CD USA , and music video play on MTVU.com. Christian radio has responded as well with two #1 rock radio hits “Replace Me” and “Love Addict”. They are also confirmed on all the major summer music festivals including Creation East, Cornerstone Festival, Creation West, Ichthus, and Spirit West Coast.
The band’s current release Business Up Front, Party In The Back: Diamond Edition (March 20th), includes three new songs and expanded packaging added to the original 2006 album. The Diamond Edition debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #12. The album has now sold over 60,000 copies since release.
Led by front man and guitarist Solomon Olds (aka Soul Glow Activator), Family Force 5 includes Solomon’s two brothers Jacob Olds (aka Crouton) on drums/vocal, and his twin Joshua Olds (aka Fatty) on bass/vocals. The force of five is rounded out by Nathan Currin (aka Nadaddy) on keyboard and Derek Mount (aka Chap Stique) on guitar.
