It's Valentine's Day and who hasn't had some heartbreak in their life? This book is a compilation of stories from various writers about their experiences with women, mostly bad. The underlying theme is men getting dumped by women in the past in various shapes and forms, and how funny the retrospective seems. Not every story fits that description, but that's what helps you to keep turning the pages. You know there's a tie in.
The reading isn't very tough at all, and the tome only weighs in at over a couple hundred pages. It's not time consuming, nor painful for the brain to read. It's downright hilarious at parts. On several occasions I got good chuckles and even strong laughs out loud from the pages. Now when you're on NYC public transporatation, you might be taking your life into your own hands by doing such a thing, but it's worth it.
The tales by David Wain and Patton Oswalt were particularly hilarious and keep coming back to me. Both are knee slappers.
I can go over each chapter, but where would the fun be when you cross those bridges yourself? Go out and get this book, and enjoy it. I know the men out there will, and women with a sense of humor will as well.
Maybe.
It's on bookshelves now!
