Dreamworks bought the rights to do a live action Ghost in the Shell (GITS for short) movie. The GITS concept is a police force in the future that consists of humans, and androids occupied by human spirit, or "ghost." A good sci fi story line could make this a great new franchise for Hollywood. Casting will be key. Bateau should be played by Rutger Hauer. The Major? They will probably want Angelina Jolie. She seems to be the only choice for female action roles. Kate Beckinsale was great as Selene in the Underworld movies and does the straight-faced no nonsense female lead that would be PERFECT for the role.

This should be wild, and nowadays, with computer animation, the insane original version can probably be duplicated, even topped.
