In Print: The Bourne Supremacy by Robert Ludlum

After I finished reading The Bourne Identity I couldn't wait to start The Bourne Supremacy. As with the first book, this one has little to do with the movie with the same title. Actually, even less. They are completely different stories in different parts of the world. And, of course, the book was written some twenty years earlier.
This story takes place about a year after the ending of the Bourne Identity. David and Marie are married and living in Maine where David teaches. The government tears them apart in a conspiracy to force David Webb to become his alter ego Jason Bourne to save the world from global war. The tale is his adventure to save both his wife and the entire world.
Nothing was predictable in the between those covers. In fact I was a bit shocked through most of the story and especially the ending. I was expecting more of a bloodbath. There was, however, plenty of blood.
The book is definitely fun and has you turning the pages vigorously. But it IS a thick book with small font and requires some time to read. Worthwhile for sure.
Don't worry if you saw the movie, this has almost nothing to do with it. You can love the movie, and love this book as they are completely separate. Try it out!
