On DVD: Vacancy (2007)

Since Kate Beckinsale stars in this, I wanted to see it, but the wife had no interest, and honestly, with lukewarm reviews, we weren't going to drop a dozen dollars each to see an iffy film. But that's why God, I mean Blockbuster, gives us DVDs to rent.

This is your typical married couple stumbling into a bad situation. Since they were already having marital problems, a bunch of homicidal maniacs who have them trapped in a dumpy motel in the middle of no where. Those maniacs enjoy filming home made snuff films and our couple, Amy and David (Beckinsale and Luke Wilson) are supposed to be the next reel.

For 85 minutes the couple is drawn together for protection and realize there are greater concerns in the world then petty domestic squabbles, like STAYING ALIVE!

The ending was a bit of a surprise to me how it unfolded, but not completely unexpected. But all in all it's okay, and it's worth a view if you like brutal horror or just love the yummy Kate Beckinsale. Jeez, she looked hot all messy and dirty. That's some MILF!
