In the cinema: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

This animated movie, The Clone Wars, holds the dubious distinction as being the Star Wars film to go in and out of theaters the fastest.

The movie didn't even hit theaters and the bad reviews were all over. It was a given: this is a children's movie, it's animated after all, and not worth watching.

Well I beg to differ. I was steered away from the theaters at first because of reviews and word-of-mouth from people who didn't even see it. First, I have to dispel the myth that this was a children's movie. With the high death count in this movie, it might actually be too scary for some younger audiences. There's a pretty involved conspiracy, so it will appeal to older Star Wars fans. And the battles are just as great as any from the other films.

Also I find it interesting that most of the voices were NOT done by the original actors. Some great likenesses there!

All in all, I had fun with that movie. A lot of action. A very Star Wars feel. It was a good time to watch. If you're a Star Wars fan, don't miss this. I can't wait for the DVD, I hope there are extras and other goodies!
